Visitors are welcome at the Comox Valley Art Gallery Tuesday - Saturday from 10am - 5pm to view the presented work.
SHOP:MADE is open during the same hours for those who want to see or purchase well made things for sale by regional makers.

Poetry Reading

"Poems For The Long Haul"
Linkda K. Thompson + Wendy Donawa

The community is invited to an afternoon with award-winning poets, Linkda K. Thompson + Wendy Donawa, who will share work from their published books and unpublished manuscripts.
Reading will be held in GATHER:PLACE at the Comox Valley Art Gallery.

This is an all ages free event.

Hallowe"en Community Make Art and Drop-in

Halloween at CVAG

Drop-in Make Art 2 - 4:30pm

The Comox Valley Art Gallery will have a make art table full of supplies for drop-in making during the afternoon (2 - 4:30pm) of Halloween events in downtown Courtenay.

We look forward to seeing you at this free all ages afternoon community event.

Screening Event / Call for Applications

CVAG Youth Media Project

 
The Comox Valley Art Gallery is accepting applications for the Youth Media Project, a unique opportunity that pays youth between the ages of 16 and 30, a full-time minimum wage while they receive 13 weeks of training in video production, sound design, and other media skills.
 
During the program, participants learn skills, produce their own videos, and undertake job placements. The project runs from Dec 16, 2019 - March 27, 2020. To learn more come join us at our Open House on Tuesday, Nov 19 at 5:30pm. 
 
To be eligible for the program, participants must have a demonstrated interest in art and video, not be working or attending school full time, and not be on Employment Insurance.

To apply: send an e-mail to  Krista.cvagymp@gmail.com or drop off a letter of application to CVAG, at 580 Duncan Ave. 
The application deadline is Dec 2, 2019.

All community members are cordially invited to attend our free screening of youth films at the Rotary Hall of the Florence Filberg Centre on Nov 29th at 7:00pm. Come join us for fun times, fine refreshments and to celebrate the unique ideas surrounding how to create positive community change.
