Voice of Hope Radio Dedicated in Liberia
FM 100.7 reaching out to 1.3 million+ potential listeners
August 26th was a milestone day in Liberia. FM 100.7, the Voice of Hope radio was officially dedicated in Monrovia, the capital city!
Crowd gathered for the official ribbon cutting ceremony
included Liberia AG national leader Jimmy Kuoh
Following several years of planning and preparation, the station began test broadcasting last February that expanded to 5 hours on the air each evening. As more of the volunteer staff has gained experience, local program production expanded and audience response increased, more broadcast hours have been added. Currently, the VOH is on the air 10 hours each day! They are praying for finances to purchase the diesel fuel required to generate power for additional daily transmission.
Henry training Voice of Hope staff
I’ve had the privilege of being a part of the team working on this project over the last 3 years. It is a joy to see it go from vision to reality. In February, I spent several weeks in Liberia training the new station’s announcers and staff. Now, the VOH is proclaiming a message of God’s love to a potential audience of more than a million people every day. It is sharing hope across Monrovia and as far as 100 kilometers away, even into the neighboring nation of Sierra Leone. Praise God!
Thank you for your partnership that helped make this project possible. Please continue to pray for the Voice of Hope station that:
· Staff will grow in their capabilities to develop and present quality content
· Strong community and church partnerships will be forged with the station
· Finances will be available to cover operational costs and expand on air hours
· Listeners will be impacted and life’s changed for God’s glory through the broadcasts

IMM recently completed production of the Open the Bible: Gospels series in Sinhalese, the primary language of Sri Lanka. The four, thirty minute programs are a highly visual and Biblically accurate introduction to each of the Gospels. They will be used in home churches, study groups, and broadcast in this island nation where less than .5% are evangelical Christians.

Across the Middle East and North Africa, internet use continues to escalate. IMM is partnering with ministries there to share "conversation starter" videos that are featured on websites focused on countries across the region. Hundreds of thousands of people have viewed these dramatic, short videos that engage viewers and cultivate connections.

IMM has invested much time and energy in creating video content for kids. And even in settings where traditional missionary efforts are restricted, often there are opportunities for quality children's programs that promote positive moral values. Now in Albania, a door has opened to air our World of Jonathan Singh TV series for kids on a Muslim-controlled TV station.
