RVCC Financial Update

We think its important to regularly give the RVCC church family a snapshot of where we are financially, because it’s solely through the sacrificial generosity of your gifts that ministry at RVCC is funded. As we come to the end of this summer, we want to share some of the ways we’ve seen God work in recent months and how you can participate in making sure we are able to step into opportunities like these going forward.

This summer, we had in-person camps for middle school and high school students for the first time in two years. There were first time decisions to trust in Jesus as Savior as well as recommitments and decisions to proceed with getting baptized soon! We also hosted two weeks of VBS, Very Best Summer, at the Graham and Parkland campuses. Between the two weeks there were about 175 pre-K through elementary aged kids who were exposed to a fun week at the church and who got to hear the good news of Jesus in a way that made sense for them!

We’ve seen God open other amazing doors this summer, honoring our heart to show up for our cities. Last Monday we got to be present at Franklin Pierce School District’s welcome back teacher event, where we were the only church present to share our partnership opportunities. That led to us being invited to Washington High School’s open house for ALL families of students two days later. We were encouraged to share ways for students and parents to partner with and participate in events like Serve Sunday as well information about our Sunday services and student ministries!

This week we walked through the Graham Campus with a team from the Bethel School District as we will be hosting their specialty teacher and staff trainings throughout the year in our building, and the first training was this week on Wednesday. We love that we get to use the resources God has given us to serve our communities well.

I share these opportunities we’ve had because we currently have a gap in giving to budget. We know God is able to provide above and beyond anything we can hope or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), but He always wants us to walk in step with that.

As you consider this gap, would you pray about how God may be leading you to be a wildly generous giver, to fully fund our ministry this year? God is opening so many doors and we believe He is setting the stage for further opportunities to extend the good news of Jesus into our cities. We are deeply appreciative of each and every one of you who freely and generously gives in order to see these opportunities become reality.

Let’s continue to trust God as the One who can provide above and beyond anything we could hope or imagine!
