If you've been to Serve Sunday, you know how fun it is to make such a huge difference in a short amount of time, knowing that staff and students will show up on Monday morning and be encouraged by the difference in their campuses.
What is Serve Sunday?
Serve Sunday is an event where we serve our local schools during the time that would normally be reserved for our Sunday morning services. We'd love to have you join us as we dedicate the day to making a difference in our community while having a lot of fun together. Don't worry if you can't shovel or pull weeds, there are projects for everyone from preschoolers to seniors.
We need everybody to sign up in advance so that we can order t-shirts, plan breakfast, and know how many hands we can count on. Breakfast?! Yep, the morning will begin at RVCC Parkland or RVCC Graham with a continental breakfast and short service with communion before we head to the the schools.
Bring Your Kids!
We plan Serve Sunday with kids in mind, because we really love when families serve together. We think it's important for kids of all ages to be part of making a difference in the community. This year we wanted the morning to be extra special, so we're planning a project for kids to earn a fun treat as they participate in certain tasks. If your kids have some of their own tools, they are welcome to bring them, but we'll have what they need, including a pair of kid-sized gloves.
Start thinking now about a neighbor, co-worker, teammate, or friend that may not even be interested in Jesus right now – but may be ready to join you to do something good for the community.
