Update from HQ

Before you all disappear on your Summer holidays (and we receive a stream of out-of-offices) here's a heads-up for our Autumn programme. This sees us collaborating with our Welsh members and UK partners to highlight the strategic trends which are affecting our industry now and will do over the coming months:
  • Institution of Engineering and Technology Collaborative Event-  September 23rd, 6:30pm- 8:30pm, venue Cardiff. Keynote speaker: Nick Sleep, Medaphor
  • Pharma and Clinical Trials Regulatory Update with speakers from ABHI, BIA. Focusing on the Falsified Medicines Directive, EU Clinical Trial Regulation and Security of the Supply Chain
  • Technology Day- Central Biotechnology Services' Facilities Showcase event with a range of speakers from industry and academia discussing sector trends, regulatory challenges and collaborative engagement opportunities with CBS- Cardiff, October
  • COLLABORATE- Signature event hosted by ABMU, Hywel Dda, academia and industry partners across the region- Swansea, October 21st
  • Clinical Unmet Needs Event with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board- January 2015

Global Cluster Biomarker Online directory is Live!

BIO in San Diego saw the launch of the biomarker directory, both in print and online, with over 200 profiles from companies and research groups from 40 clusters in 19 countries world-wide. MediWales members Glyconics and Kier Lewis, R&D Director,  Hywel Dda are featured.

The online directory has been categorised by disease application and is also fully searchable. Additional profiles are welcome.
