March Update

Today is the first day of Spring and things are looking bright for our community. Our members have been winning awards, announcing expansions, analysing the 2016 Budget and taking on recruitment drives; read our news section below for the full stories.

We have a range of exciting events and workshops coming up, and a vibrant network that is ready to collaborate and innovate. Our upcoming event Farmer to Pharma: Commercialisation of Natural Products will launch the UK Natural Compounds Special Interest Group on 27th April 2016. After an excellent initial response, we have had requests to add an exhibition to this event.

Our LifeScience Academy is kicking off this Spring, with our LifeScience Academy: Placement Exchange event on 19th May 2016 for University departments and companies to meet and discuss student and graduate placements.

The LifeScience Academy continues with a key IP workshop for research organisations taking place on 24th May 2016. The Patents Instruction Manual, delivered by Abel & Imray, teaches you what you need to know about protecting and developing your IP.

The final few advertising spaces are available in our upcoming edition of UK Lifescience Industry magazine, which provides an excellent way to share success, projects and find new collaborative partners. Get in touch with Tess to reserve your space.

Finally, thank you to all of our members that recently attended our Life Science Advisory Forum and AGM meeting. MediWales represents the view of the life science community, and feedback on our activity allows us to keep our members' needs at the centre of what we do.
