We are pleased to introduce you to Julie Fregeau, who is currently teaching some adorable quilting classes!
Julie Fregeau: Quilt Class Instructor at Vicky’s Fabrics

I’m originally from San Diego and moved to Kaua’i full-time more than five years ago after spending many years vacationing on Kaua’i with my husband and two daughters. We fell in love with the lifestyle and the Aloha spirit of the Hawaiian islands, but most of all with the people and beauty of the Garden Island.

I’ve been quilting for over 20 years and taught ongoing classes in San Diego for most of those years, modifying and creating patterns to fit my style and the needs of my students. I enjoy all aspects of quilting from hunting and gathering fabrics, mixing and matching colors, cutting, piecing and finishing the quilts free-hand on my long-arm and hand binding them. Quilting allows me to channel my artistic creativity and love of fabric, and teaching others has been a most rewarding experience.

My style ranges from primitive, which is where I started, to contemporary designs that use more colorful palettes. Since moving to Kaua’i I’ve been astounded by how many talented quilters I’ve met on this small island and I’ve been honored to be a part of this quilting community.
