Following a thorough evaluation of applications coming from several highly qualified candidates, Telecentre-Europe is pleased to announce that Gabriel Rissola has been selected and appointed as Telecentre-Europe’s Managing Director, by a Selection Committee of nine members of the international telecentre community.
Simultaneously, Peter Palvolgyi has been appointed as the new Financial Officer.

Representatives of Telecentre-Europe will take part
Digital Agenda Assembly (#DA12) taking place next 21-22 June in Brussels.
Chair Ian Clifford and Managing Director Gabriel Rissola will participate through the workshop
Social Media: Social Networking for Economic Recovery, Jobs and Growth. Also board member Juan Francisco Delgado will be a participant of the Assembly, advocating for the Spanish proposal to create a
European Market Place for Social Innovators.

VOTE FOR A EUROPEAN MARKET PLACE FOR SOCIAL INNOVATORS
Again at the Digital Agenda for Europe Engagement Platform, the Community of Telecentre Networks Association, Telecentre-Europe’s Spanish member organization, has launched a proposal for creating a European network where social innovators can receive feedback on funding, social media, mentoring and creativity from a set of experts.

New membership from Poland
INFORMATION SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
The
Information Society Development Foundation (FRSI) is a non-governmental organization established in 2008 by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. FRSI’s objective is to support and promote the development of an information society with a very well developed services sector, high education standards, broad and inexpensive Internet access, public access to information, and the ability to exchange data irrespective of the distance.
Telecentre-Europe Summit 2012
SAVE THE DATE
This year, Telecentre-Europe is organizing its annually network gathering during
17-18 October 2012, in Warsaw, Poland. During the event, the
Telecentre-Europe Award Ceremony will take place again. The summit in Warsaw will be the fifth meeting of European telecentre leaders after
Riga (2008),
Istanbul (2009),
Budapest (2010) and
Brussels (2011). Following the event, the Telecentre-Europe AISBL General Assembly will be held.
