Hope you like my new format for sending out news updates?

2013 is flying!

This year really is moving quickly!  This will just be a short update, as I wanted to try out this new format.  Please let me know if you have any problems to see this email.  If I can get this to work well, it will mean that I will try to send out shorter updates and prayer needs, but more often.

This year started off with intensity and I do feel I have not stopped going!
We just finished hosting a gathering of 150 YWAM leaders from the nations of Europe.  It was a big job for us to organize, but also very special to have such an international gathering here, right in the heart of Old Riga.  It was a time to meet, process, share, listen, worship, and inquire of the Lord for His purposes and our involvement in seeing His Kingdom come in this continent.  We live in sobering times, but also with a sense of expectation that God is up to amazing things.

Liepaja 2013

Every year, the last week of February a large city wide outreach in conjunction with local city government, schools, churches and social departments take place.  This year it will happen 23-Feb-1 March in the 3rd largest city of Liepaja, where we have a full time team.  We expect about 500 participants, including international teams, over 100 from other places in Latvia, and those from local churches!  Please pray with us for an open heaven over the city and for many to experience and receive the love of Jesus, resulting in changed lives.

Home from Siberia!

Our DTS team just returned from their outreach to St Petersburg, Perm and various places in Siberia, RUSSIA.  I hear that they have many stories and had excellent opportunities to minister during their months out on the field.  They have some weeks to go until the school is completed, and will join the BIG Liepaja outreach before finishing the school in March.  We are so proud of them and look forward to see what is next for each of their lives!
Our YWAM team in Liepaja is preparing for a Foundations of Counseling Ministry School in March, and our Valdemarpils training center is also preparing for the Bible Core Course that begins in March as well.

I continue to serve with Youth With A Mission in Latvia and northern Europe in various leadership and coordination roles.  This is my 30th year with YWAM and 20th year in Latvia...which when I stop and think about it, it is almost unthinkable!
I am so appreciative of the donations, gifts and prayers that many invest in this ministry.
I am looking for some new people to be a part of my committed monthly support team, as there have been some recent changes from long term people who are no longer able to be a part of my support team.  We do live in interesting times, but I am thankful for God's ongoing faithfulness and provision and trust He has ways to meet my needs.
