Issue 94, June 2019, London

Hello June!

The second May bank holiday signals the beginning of the London summer season to me. It may not always be warm or sunny but there seems to be a more relaxed feeling about with people taking advantage of the longer days and lighter evenings.

This is the time to eat fresher and indulge in some raw food if you choose. Be mindful of not overdoing it on the cold front though. Don’t confuse cold with refreshing. You can have a nice juicy bowl of watermelon and pineapple without it being super chilled. I find fresh blueberries absolutely delightful and they are never super cold.

Vicky has a lovely suggestion: Fry red onions until brown and add garlic and organic chopped tomatoes and then add a small portion of linguine pasta or red rice and serve with salad leaves and herbs!

+ Here’s something a lot of us know already, but it’s nice to see it in the mainstream: Top UK scientist urges people to take vitamin D supplements

If you have been kind enough to refer someone to me - I want to say a big THANK YOU. That is the highest compliment and it's warmly appreciated every time.

Interesting read: 25% of those who meditate report negative experience

Meditation is supposed to help relax the body and mind, but recent research has discovered that more than 25% of people who meditate on a regular basis have experienced an unpleasant psychological event as a result.
