Happy new year again!

If you weren’t ready for the new year back on 1 January, here’s another go!

It’s the Chinese New Year today, the year of the Pig. It’s a time of new beginnings, signified with haircuts and new clothes, family gatherings and red envelopes of gift money. The colour red and tangerines with green stalks and leaves adorn the home, symbolising good luck and prosperity.

For the Chinese, food is the star of celebrations. There is no strict guideline, eat what makes you happy. My family and I will be having gluttonous amounts of dim sum, sharing stories and laughter.

From today onwards, winter will slowly give way to spring: brighter mornings, longer days. Have a healthy and prosperous new year!

If you have been kind enough to refer someone to me - I want to say a big THANK YOU. That is the highest compliment and it's warmly appreciated every time.

The new power lunch

Working in a high-pressure job can be taxing on your health and can lead to ailments such as mood irregularities, fatigue, insomnia, migraines and muscle tension. It turns out, people are turning to acupuncture
