Cabin Fever and Record Tuna

I love winter - it gives me a legitimate excuse to just curl up in front of the fire and binge-watch Netflix. But come January even a home-body like me gets cabin fever. I start to think about the tournament season and even after 30 years, I still get excited about traveling to the events, seeing old friends and watching everyone have a good time. So I'm stretching my sea legs and planning for June. It'll be here before we know it.

Now, I don't have to worry about where I'll stay during the tournament because my room is already booked. But you do. Sandestin fills up fast at that time of the year so you need to start making reservations. This year you have two new choices: Hotel Effie for luxury hotel accommodations, and Osprey Pointe for upscale condominium living. There are many more options - just be sure to use the Group Code FISH21 when you book for the tournament discount.

We also have two offerings from Capt. Dave Lear this month. The first an amusing look at what it would be like to have the perfect fishing app, and the second a long-overdue interview with Capt. Robert "Wild Man" Waldmann on Ridgeback, the boat that set the new tournament record for yellowfin tuna last year at 198.8 lbs.
