Forecast Updated Monday June 17.

Our Buoyweather models show light winds out of the southerly quadrant for Monday and Tuesday with one to two-foot seas offshore. Breezy conditions will kick up on Wed and build into strong SW winds on Thursday of 15 to 20 knots with four- to five-foot seas offshore. Conditions will dial back for Friday and into the weekend. Saturday’s forecast calls for light and variable S winds of 5 to 10 knots and smooth seas with 2-foot waves out of the south at 6 seconds apart. Sunday fishing calls for similar conditions with 5 to 7 knots of SSW wind and small, short-period waves. Expect scattered storms from Tuesday through Friday and partly cloudy to sunny conditions over the weekend. There are no tropical developments expected to interfere with tournament operations at this time. For up-to-the-minute forecasts visit Buoyweather.com.

Sea surface temperatures are currently in the low to mid 80s, with several .5 to 1-degree temperature breaks that are worth exploring. There is also plenty of blue water once outside of the Mississippi Delta zone. A counter-clockwise rotating current eddy coming off of the Loop Current is pushing blue water over Green Canyon and the two counter-rotating current converge east of Green Canyon. These areas have a high probability for holding blue marlin. To monitor water temps, water color, currents and more visit FishTrack.com.
