January LCIRT News

From our snowy campus in Vermont, we on the LCIRT team wish you an especially happy 2021. In this month's newsletter, Dr. Rick Bryck discusses the importance of cognitive flexibility and the cost of multitasking. For a deeper dive into the science of learning, as well as strategies to engage and support students with LD, ADHD and autism, we encourage you to apply by January 18 for courses in our certificate program in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity. If you've pondered taking the entire program, note that the introductory course is among the offerings.  Finally, in LCIRT Recommends we bring you readings that consider Black students in special ed, tips for encouraging teens to think metacognitively, and strategies for reviving students' curiosity.
