On Tuesday, 23rd December, 2014, an official visit was made to the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Dar es Salaam to convey message of condolences on behalf of the Africa Federation and its member Jamaats. The delegation was led by the Africa Federation Hon. Secretary, Alhaj Aunali Khalfan accompanied by Alhaj Zahir Somji from the Secretariat of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam, Br. Tahirhassan Fidahussein from the Africa Federation Secretariat and Br. Sajjad Baluch, member of Pakistani community in Dar es Salaam.
 
The delegation was received by H.E. Mohamed Iqbal, the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Tanzania, and an enlightening discussion was held in his office. He appreciated the visit by the AFED delegation and thanked for the moral support. His Excellency gave a brief account of the incident of the criminal attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar which has been strongly condemned worldwide.
 
The High Commissioner was keen to know about the Africa Federation and its activities. Alhaj Aunali Khalfan briefly explained on the history of our community in Africa and its various branches and organizations in mainland Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands of Madagascar, Reunion and Mauritius. He explained on the various social and religious services undertaken by the Africa Federation and its Member Jamaats.  
 
Alhaj Aunali Khalfan then delivered a message on behalf of the Africa Federation Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, summary of the message reads as follows:

“It is with great sadness that I convey on behalf of my community our heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of innocent lives in the brutal attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan. We condemn this despicable and cowardly attack which resulted in the tragic deaths of 132 children and 9 staff members, and inflicting serious injuries to over 100 people. The attackers are not only enemies of Pakistan but also of the entire humanity.
 
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have lost their loved ones, please convey our condolences to the Government of Pakistan, the people of Pakistan and to all those who have been bereaved in the massacre at the Army Public School.
 
Pakistan has witnessed several terrorists and suicidal attacks against its citizens, killing innocent people; we appeal to the Government of Pakistan to take necessary measures to prevent these attacks and bring to justice the perpetrators of these violent attacks against the citizens”.






Alhaj Zahir Somji on behalf of the KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam also delivered an invitation to the High Commissioner and to the members of the Diplomatic Corps to attend Qur’an Khwani and Majlis program on Tuesday, 23rd December, 2014 after Maghribain prayers at our Mosque organized for the victims of the School attack. 
 
We pray to Allah (SWT) for the maghferat of those innocent souls and to grant the parents and the families of the victims solace and strength to bear the loss of their loved ones.
 
May peace, justice and freedom prevail in all parts of the world – Ameen.
 
We extend our gratitude to Alhaj Sajjad Baluch for coordinating the visit with the office of the Pakistan High Commission.
 
Let us remember with Sura-e-Fateha the victims of the Army Public School terror attack and all those who died from the attacks and from the violence in all parts of the world.
