The Spring Market: Update
The Boston condominium market continues to rise. Comparing the year-to-date figures through the end of February 2015 to February 2104 the number of closed sales is down almost 20%. Likewise the number of homes available for sale is down almost 24%. And the number of new listings that came on the market in February 2015 over February 2014 is down 28%.

It should be no surprise that the median sale price for the same period is up 4.1%. And there is no data to indicate that this trend is going to change. In fact, many properties are going under agreement, with multiple offers, for prices over asking in a matter of days of hitting the market.

Whether buying or selling, now more than ever you need an experienced agent to represent you in this exciting, fast paced market. Careful planning, strategy and negotiating are critical to success.

Let us help you, your friends and families realize their dreams!

Where's Ahab Now?!

We had the pleasure of visiting with the dynamic Marc Hall, owner of Marc Hall Design and Marc Hall Objekt. In the store on Albany Street, our canine star Ahab was treated to lots of love and a fresh spring garland custom-designed by Marc.

As a resident and business owner in the South End, what excites you about living and working here?
Marc Hall: What’s not to love – I mean architecturally it’s breathtaking so therefore inspirational. After all, the South End is in the National Register of Historic Places having the largest extant Victorian homes. The South End, I feel, has always been on the cutting edge and in flux since the 1830s…remember it was a former tidal marsh. It only makes sense that a cutting edge concept like my garden boutique, "marc hall objekt" would take up residency in one of the most obscure sections of the South End, Albany Street (which is rapidly changing again)…very exciting!

Can you tell our readers from near and far about your design services and products and what is the "newest thing”?
MH: Marc Hall Design is my design firm. My atelier is here in the South End, a place where we create exterior garden plans and living spaces as well as complete special event design services…landscape architecture, garden design, studio florist, décor for parties all under one roof with a sister company Marc Hall Objekt. I am the curator of Objekt, collecting furnishings and accessories from my world travels for home, office and garden. This year I will launch my first collection of vessels.

2015 Inspiration & Recognition Brunch

The John O’Connor Team recently received 3 awards for its production in 2014. We were thrilled to be named the number two team in the Keller Williams New England Region and the number two team in the Keller Williams Boston-Metro office. We also were awarded the Platinum Medallion for production of all of Keller Williams International Real Estate. Next year - #1!

The brunch was held at the historic Hampshire House Hotel on Beacon Street overlooking the Public Garden. It was a poignant moment when John was awarded a Keller Williams Cultural Award for his work helping his friend Caleb Butler navigate his way out of heroin addiction and into recovery. After listening to their story the attendees generously donated almost $2,000 to a trust fund and to the halfway house that proved so valuable to Caleb on his journey out of active addiction.
