Kennedy Park Neighborhood update

There’s a lot going on in the Kennedy Park Neighborhood Association, and neighbors are invited to be a part of it. KPNA has just set a date for their neighborhood cleanup - Saturday, May 12, with their next planning meeting happening Tuesday May 1, 6:00 p.m. at 1906 Linden St. The organization is also working on a fire hydrant painting project, addressing nuisance properties, and reaching out to neighbors to help them have a role in their neighborhood. For details, follow the KPNA facebook page or see the KPNA webpage on NRC’s website.

Bus tour of third district ‘eye opening’ for neighbors

Here's a perfect example of how it can benefit your neighborhood to have an organized association: on the morning of Saturday, April 21, a busload of common council members, neighborhood association representatives, and other community leaders toured the third district to identify and discuss issues in each neighborhood.

When opportunities arise to make the needs of your neighborhood known, neighborhood associations are the representative voices city leaders turn to. Thank you to our council members for making this listening opportunity available, and to neighborhood leaders for participating. Read the South Bend Tribune story

It's official: Tango Mango Wheat best-selling BOTM

Sales benefit NRC through April

Specially brewed for NRC by South Bend Brew Werks, we're happy to report that Tango Mango Wheat has been the best-selling #Beer4Good beer of the month to date. (That explains why they've run out twice -- they're tapping the third batch today.)

In April, a portion of the proceeds from every Tango Mango Wheat sold will support South Bend neighborhoods through the work of the Neighborhood Resources Connection. It will also be the featured brew at Tapas & Tango on April 28.
