Join us today, tomorrow, or both!

NRC has two ways for you to connect with neighborhood-improving resources this week:

Thursday: Free workshop on City Budget Process

How does the city decide what to spend money on, and how much? And most importantly... how do residents like you get a say?

In this interactive workshop, you'll learn about the City of South Bend’s budget process and how you can have a voice in setting the city’s financial priorities. The city’s Department of Administration and Finance will explain what it takes to create the annual budget, describe how citizens may have a say, and hear residents' ideas on how to improve neighborhoods with the help of the budget process.

Thursday, July 12
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Dickinson Room, SJC Public Library Main Branch
304 S Main St.

Free! Space is limited, though, so RSVPs are requested via Eventbrite or at 574-287-0425.

Can't make it? Mark your calendar for upcoming workshops.

Today: SBBW Community Partners Happy Hour

The second Wednesday of every month is South Bend Brew Werks' Community Partner Happy Hour. Come on downtown this afternoon, grab a #Beer4Good (or a soft drink - no pressure!), and meet folks representing each of the three Community Partners: Neighborhood Resources Connection, The Music Village, and La Casa de Amistad. NRC would love to share how we can help you organize with your neighbors to be the representative voice for your neighborhood.

For more information, see the Facebook event. Or, read more about how Brew Werks supports their community partners.

Can't make either of these events, but want to learn more about getting your neighborhood organized? We'd love to set a time to connect with you or your neighbors, at your place or ours. Call us at 574-287-0425 or email
