Our next NRC event is coming up fast! It's the annual Tapas & Tango, set for April 29 at The Hall at St. Peter's with Spanish Heart and Tapastrie. It's easy to order online tickets now at Eventbrite.
The night also features thrilling tango performances and flamenco music from South Bend's own Spanish Heart, including dancers Carolyn Hine-Edington and Vladimir Sorokin with music by their flamenco guitarist, Bryan Edington. South Bend Latin Dance instruction, back by popular demand, is offered by Emily Tyson & Joventino Nval.
This unique event features delectable small plates from Tapastrie, one of downtown's finest dining experiences. These include marinated shrimp, Spanish style lamb meatballs, and the ever-fabulous roasted chorizo-wrapped medjool dates! Plus a specially brewed mango-habanero beer from South Bend Brew Werks, and sangria of course!
Proceeds from Tapas & Tango will help Neighborhood Resources Connection (NRC) in its work with neighbors to improve South Bend neighborhoods. Working closely with community partners, NRC provides SB neighbors with tools and opportunities that will help them effect the changes they believe will improve their quality of life.
For complete details and easy online ticket orders, see the Eventbrite link. There's also info on the NRC Facebook event page.
