Dear all,

Through the electronic newsletter, (follow this link for the document) we want to keep you informed about key CCI-related news and events around the globe. We also want to spotlight and share effective innovations, successful collaborations and remarkable initiatives of CCI member organizations.

For this issue, we highlight the fact that CCI and its members do not only save lives, we also help build future leaders and catalysts for change. We see this in the teen leadership development program for adolescents with cancer of Kids Cancer Care Foundation in Alberta, Canada and in the collaborative initiatives for capacity building of health partners in LATAM (Fundacion Nuestros Hijos) and China (Pau Kwong Wun Foundation).

CCI and its members also continuously create new ways to provide psychosocial support for children and young people with cancer; CCF- Singapore shows how one can build friendships despite language and geographical barriers.

CCI and its members actively protect and promote the rights of children with cancer. It also helps fight discrimination against girls with cancer. CanKIDS India demonstrates how this can be done with high impact. In this issue, we also feature one of our pioneering members in South Africa, CHOC.

We hope these stories and initiatives will inspire you to do more; finding new and better ways to assist and support kids with cancer, the survivors and their families.  We invite you to get to know and work with the CCI member organizations in your area.  Together, We Are Stronger.
