Summerville Inn
The Smith Ranch has been in operation by the same family since it was purchased in 1852 by George Smith a 49er gold miner.  The Summerville Inn Home was built in 1864.  The home was in disrepair and needed to be restored or torn down.

The decision was made to fix up the old home, and work began back in 2011.  We thought it would be great for a vacation rental for families who might like to visit a working ranch and enjoy the beautiful valley and for families who come to the valley for weddings, or other family occasions and need a place to stay.

The home is large and has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, a full living room, dining room, great room and kitchen with dining nook.  The home is located at 1601 Island Road, just out of the town of Etna. The Ranch that the house sits on is still a working ranch, raising cattle and alfalfa hay.
The home can be rented in part or the whole house, making in convenient for small families or individuals.  It is centrally located and great for bikers, hikers or anyone who may be in the area enjoying the great scenery.

You can see photos on Facebook or on our website that just went live, thanks to a couple of the 6th generation of the Smith Family, Aubrey Freckman (designed the website), and Eric Freckman (did the photography! ) You can book a stay or ask questions by calling Veanne Hogun at 530-598-1000.
