The PLTW Senior Showcase highlights students completing the senior capstone courses in Engineering Design and Development (EDD) or Biomedical Innovations (BI). This year's event includes 250 students from Belton, Blue Springs, Fort Osage, Grandview, Harrisonville, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Liberty, North Kansas City, Park Hill, Platte County, St. Joseph and Shawnee Mission school districts. Area STEM professionals and educators are encouraged to attend. Admission is free.

PLTW pilots FIRST COMPUTER SCIENCE pathway course in metro area high schools.
When students understand how education is relevant to their lives and future careers, they get excited. Knowledge of Computer Science is increasingly valuable for any career, and it's exciting to be among the early adopters as Project Lead the Way launches a four-year Computer Science program of study for high school students. The pilot for the first course - PLTW Computer Science and Software Engineering - is currently underway in 15 high schools in the Kansas City region.
