VisitWiltshire ranked #1 in the English Tourism Social Media Index
We were delighted to hear on Wednesday morning that VisitWiltshire came number 1 in the English Tourism Social Media Index for England beating Visit Cornwall and VisitLondon!
Launched to coincide with English Tourism Week, the Index is compiled by measuring the social media performance of each tourism body based, not just on an algorithm, but a team of five people who looked at nine social networks. Read more about this in our press release
Familiarisation Passport 2015
Jenny has been busy working on our 2015 Familiarisation passport. Thank you to all of the partners that have got involved with this. This year the Passport will be worth over £600 and it is hoped that this will be available to Partners in time for Easter.

VisitEngland launches industry consultation on Growth Strategy for England's Tourism Industry
VisitEngland have launched an industry-wide consultation on the future growth strategy for England's Tourism Industry. The aim of the consultation is so that you, the industry, can input into the development and direction of the strategy. The consultation is now live and will open until 15 May 2015. Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge opens 'new look' Solstice Bar & Grill
The award-winning restaurant and bar has recently been expanded and refurbished to create a 118-seat dining area with an 'al fresco' outdoor terrace for eating out. Read more here.

Over 220 partners joined us to hear updates from the VisitWiltshire team a keynote address from Simon Calder giving his thoughts on the future of travel and Wiltshire’s part in it, plus presentations from Roger Pride on our new brand positioning, Justin Reid from TripAdvisor.

The Time for Wiltshire exhibition was our biggest yet with partners from across the county busy networking and exchanging literature followed by a visit to the new Magna Carta exhibition at Salisbury Cathedral.
