VisitWiltshire ran a travel trade familiarisation visit to Wiltshire earlier this month. We welcomed representatives from wholesalers Trafalgar Tours, Norman Allen Group Travel, Interopa, Travel Bureau Destination and PAC Group Company plus four group travel organisations and two travel/trade press. We will continue to work closely with all these organisations to ensure they bring business into the county.
The one-to-one speed networking meetings proved very popular with 22 supplier partners attending the event at Marlborough College. Following very positive feedback from partners, VisitWiltshire are keen to repeat this event in spring 2017 so please do get in touch with Flo if you can offer a venue or wish to register an interest to attend (dates TBC).
VisitBritain/VisitEngland Annual Review Launch 2015/2016 VisitBritain/VisitEngland have just launched their annual review,announcing that international visitors spent an extra £800 million across the nations and regions of Britain in the last year. This means that every £1 invested in international marketing resulted in an overseas visitor spending £23 in Britain. In addition, domestic visitors spent an additional £97.2 million in England as a result of the 2015 ‘Holidays at Home are GREAT’ campaign. Find out morehere.
