Events for 2017 Printed Publications Attraction and town partners are invited to submit up to 6 events for possible inclusion in 2017 events calendars. Ideally both the name of the event and the exact 2017 date(s); failing that the name of the event and the month in which it takes place. The deadline is Wednesday 31 August.
Plans for 2017 trade activity are underway and irrespective of whether you are a member of our travel trade group you can take advantage of these. They include advertising in our groups guide, inclusion in e-newsletters and attendance at exhibitions and events - see 2016 / 2017 Groups and Travel Trade Opportunities,
There may also be opportunities to exhibit at World Travel Market and ITB as a stand sharer on a South West England stand. Please contact Flo to register your interest.

Tourism Alliance Survey
The Tourism Alliance have put together a survey on the impact of the referendum on the UK tourism industry. This consists of 10 questions aimed at determining the consequences of the decision to leave the EU, the results of which will shape the Tourism Alliance’s discussions with Government on what actions need to be taken to support the sector. Please complete the survey. Deadline for completion is 21 July with the results being presented at Tourism Alliance AGM in Parliament on 26 July.
Tourism Alliance Inquiry Evidence
The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee has announced that they are holding an inquiry on rural tourism. The inquiry will focus on how the Government can support the growth of the rural economy through tourism. To do this, the inquiry will look at a number of issues including marketing, access, funding and fiscal policies, infrastructure and skills, local environment and character and Defra role.
