'Time for Wiltshire' Tourism Exhibition
Wed 18 March, City Hall 1:15pm-3:00pm

VisitWiltshire's annual Tourism Exhibition will take place immediately after the Conference. The Exhibition is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your business and distribute literature on a stand FREE of charge. Familiarisation Passport 2015

We will shortly be producing our annual Familiarisation Passport. This year you will have the opportunity to data capture email addresses from these vouchers. If you would like to take part in this initiative for 2015, please email Jenny by Monday 2 March. The passports will be available in time for Easter.

One of VisitWiltshire’s nominees, Kevin Shurmer, from STEAM, Museum of the Great Western Railway, Swindon has been shortlisted for VisitEngland's national 2015 Tourism Superstar award. A new VisitWiltshire blog including a video from Kevin is now available to view here.  Please cast your  VOTE HERE  before 28 February, after which the winner will be announced. 

PR Update

Press releases recently issued include the Tourism Exhibition information for trade and 'Make Time for Easter' press release.  Press visits from an American freelance journalist - Salisbury and Stonehenge, and Maxine Sheppard for Civil Service magazine have taken place this month.  Maxine focussed on northern Wiltshire including Marlborough, Pewsey, Corsham and Lacock.

Travel Trade

We have recently exhibited at South West Group Travel Show in Weston-Super-Mare with stand partners, Bowood House, Salisbury Cathedral & Magna Carta, Arundells, Wyvern Theatre and The Cathedral Hotel. We have finalised the itinerary for the forthcoming spring familiarisation visit (22 - 24 March) and have some exciting interest from group travel organisers and operators wishing to attend. If you are keen to market your product to this sector and would like to know more please contact Florence.

All three publications, Accommodation - stay, discover, explore, Group Visits & Travel Trade guide and Days Out guide are now all printed and available. These brochures can be downloaded here or for hard copies please contact Jenny.

HMRC Help & Advice on Tax

Tourism Alliance are working with HMRC to help obtain accurate and timely advice on tax matters for tourism businesses. If you are interested in establishing links with a key contact from HMRC or you would like to take part in a dedicated Tourism Webinar  where you can discuss issues (tentatively planned for March) please let Andrew know.
