The Cathedral remembers those fought at the Somme this November. The 100 Hearts exhibition opens on 7 November, featuring four original sweetheart pincushions made by soldiers recuperating during WW1 and one hundred new hearts made by the Royal School of Needlework and other organisations. On 6 and 13 November Lt Col Neil Stace from the BBC’s Great British Sewing Bee is running pincushion workshops in the North Transept and, on Friday 11 November, he delivers a lecture - Sewing on the Frontline – at 7pm.
Artist Jayson Haebich installs his huge interactive laser Star of Bethlehem at the start of November and Twilight Tower tours commence on 28 November.
