Not only is it a New Year but it's also the start of the Year of the English Garden and where better to celebrate this than in Wiltshire? 2016 sees the 300th anniversary of the birth of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown who shaped many a landscape in the county including the ones at Bowood, Corsham Court and Wilton House. Enjoy lakeside walks around the gardens at Stourhead or take in the vistas of the spring flowers at Abbey House Gardens (pictured above).
