PR Update

Recent press coverage obtained from the VisitWiltshire and CTC pan-Wiltshire familiarisation visit back in October includes Steve McClarence's feature in the Sunday Express and Norman Wright's feature in Choice Magazine . I-Cable Communications Ltd - the largest TV producing channel in Hong Kong, have broadcast our Wiltshire video on 'World Weather Express', with over 1 million viewers and with possible repeats. We are looking forward to hosting three Brazilian journalists and one journalist from The Sun's Fabulous Magazine later this month.
 

Travel Trade

We are busy with trade activity at the moment having recently returned from ExploreGB where we had one-to-one meetings with over 35 international buyers from around the world.

We also hosted two ExploreGB familiarisation visits on 24 February a group of international buyers visited Stourhead, The Beckford Arms and Stonehenge before heading to Ascot. On 27 February another group of international buyers visited Lacock Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum, Whatley Manor Hotel, Malmesbury and Westonbirt Arboretum. 

We will be exhibiting at 'Best of Britain & Ireland' next week with stand partners Longleat, Arundells, Bowood House and Gardens and Salisbury Cathedral & Magna Carta. Plus our forthcoming spring familiarisation visit (22 - 24 March) is coming together well. Are you leading the way in responsible tourism? Tourism businesses, organisations, initiatives and destinations around the world are invited to submit themselves for consideration in the World Responsible Tourism Awards 2015. Part of World Travel Market's World Responsible Tourism Day on Wednesday 4 November celebrates the most inspiring and innovative examples of responsible tourism in practice globally. For further information please visit the website and submit your entry before Monday 6 April.

Road Closure - A36

From 2 March - 6 July, the A36 Warminster Road will be closed for extensive roadworks between Limpley Stoke/Brassknocker Hill junction and Hantone Hill, Bathampton.  Anyone from the south will be diverted from Warminster towards Chippenham to join the A4 to Bath. For further information please visit Wiltshire Council Highways website.
