South West Tourism Growth Fund

The VisitWiltshire team have been working in conjunction with other SW destinations, leading on the Travel Trade strand of the £5 South West Tourism Growth Fund action plan. We have delivered an extensive programme of international travel trade activity. Further details of this can be found HERE.

We created two new resources – the first ever South West England Travel Trade directory for international trade trade and A Guide for Working with the International Travel Trade for South West Businesses. If you would like to receive a hard copy of either of these resources please contact Flo.

Great West Way

We are working on a new project called The Great West Way – the vision of the project is:-  
To create England’s premier long-distance touring route from London to Bristol in order to raise awareness, grow the visitor economy and transform tourism product along and around the route.

Wiltshire Association of Visitor Attractions Meeting 
Thursday 12 May, Marlborough College, 2pm - 4pm 

 Two guest speakers will outline valuable marketing opportunities for partners:
  • Katja Ahola from Viator will highlight the opportunity for attractions, activities and tours to sell tickets through a major distribution channel
  • Alf Scrimgour from the Confederation of Passenger Transport will explain all about the recently launched Coach Friendly scheme for attractions

Industry News

Take part in VisitBritain / VisitEngland's Annual Attraction Survey

The survey will be used by government and industry to gauge the performance of the attractions industry and the results often generate lots of media interest. Participating attractions will receive their own benchmarking report. Please submit your form before the end of April.
