Avebury Stone Circle

VisitWiltshire News

Avebury Familiarisation Visit

We ran a very successful familiarisation trip to Avebury Manor and the Stone Circle with 22 people attending. This gave everyone the opportunity to experience Avebury with the help of the knowledgeable National Trust team and network with each other in the beautiful sunshine. Many thanks to all those who attended and National Trust for hosting. Emma has written a blog about the day which can be seen here.

Travel Trade Update

The Travel Trade group met at Longleat last week and we are now planning our trade activity for 2015/2016. It was delightful to see a few new faces around the table. If you want to know what we have been up to please see the latest Activity Update. We have communicated our next familiarisation visit dates, 11 - 13 October, so if you are interested in joining this group come on board now and we can include you in this. Please contact Florence for further information.

PR Update

You may have seen PR coverage in The Sun's Fabulous Magazine from our recent pan-Wiltshire familiarisation press visit. We've also had some international coverage from one of the biggest regional daily newspapers in Brazil - Correio Braziliense post their recent visit. Plus our recent press release Make Time for Blooming Wonderful Wiltshire was picked up by BBC Wiltshire last week, where we did a live breakfast show radio broadcast from Iford Manor.

Coralie Grassin has written another super blog this time on Lacock Abbey. Don't forget to take a look at all our blogs - where to see the beautiful bluebells and fritillaries.
