Latest Opportunities for your Business

Sell your tickets via

As an outcome objective from our Wiltshire Association of Visitor Attractions (WAVA) group, VisitWiltshire is developing a new system to sell tickets for events, activities and attractions in Wiltshire via

The system chosen is DigiTickets, which will have a box office facility allowing ‘basketing’ so customers can buy multiple tickets to different places to visit in one transaction, encouraging bookable itineraries to Wiltshire. There is a flat rate commission fee of 12.5% on all ticket sales for 2017.
This is a great opportunity to enhance your ticket sales and we are going out to partners to ask whether you are interested in selling tickets via this channel. If so, please take a look at the terms of reference document and contact Fiona detailing the products you wish to sell or for further information.

Industry News and Events

International Travel Trade Events

Explore GB
VisitWiltshire attended VisitBritain's annual trade event - Explore GB, in Brighton on 2 - 3 March 2017. Over 400 international buyers were at the event and we had one to one meetings with over 50 travel trade operators from more than 10 countries. The VisitWiltshire sales presentation in which all travel trade partners are featured, can be seen here.

VisitWiltshire has been leading the South West England Travel Trade Group who attended ITB, Berlin 8 - 11 March, together with industry partners Norman Allen Travel and South West Coast Path. Overall, it was very positive with over 20 formal meetings (plus many more informal discussions) taking place, many with companies who we introduced into the region last year. Some had visited on familiarisation visits (as part of SW Tourism Growth Fund project) and are now selling South West England tours confirming the numbers of pax returning to the region.

Take Part in VisitBritain's Annual Attractions Survey

If you are an attraction and would like to be able to benchmark your business against others in the industry then we'd urge you to take part in the  Annual Visitor Attractions Survey.

The survey will be used by government and industry to gauge the performance of the attractions industry and the results often generate lots of media interest. Participating attractions will receive their own benchmarking report.

Forms need to be completed by 1 May 2017. Please get in touch with VisitEngland via email for further information.
