Marketing Horsepower For CPG Brands

Content is the lifeblood of CPG brands. The story and meaning behind your brands - and the ability to bring your products to life through media - are your biggest differentiators.

My friends at 3rd + Lamar, an Austin-based media agency, are adept at working with CPG brands and startups to tell their stories and fuel their growth.

They’re among the only studios in Texas with a cinema robot (pictured above), which enables them to film with precision up to 1/1,000th of an inch. Their high-speed camera also films in super slow motion at 1000 fps.

Browse their work with Siete FoodsReebok/NerfGlenfarclas, and MUSH Oats. These videos were produced locally at their 1,600-square-foot studio space with a 40-foot by 25-foot matte black wall.

3rd + Lamar also buys media for companies across paid search and paid social channels. In many cases, the videos that they use in ad campaigns are the ones that they produce at their studio.

Nick Schenck, former SVP of marketing at Austin-based FloSports, founded 3rd + Lamar in 2019 with Tony Stolfa, FloSports’ former managing producer/DP, and Heather Grass, who scaled another local agency from infancy to 50+ employees.

The Cook's Nook, business dedicated to nutritious and accessible food, has new CEO - Link

- Austin Business Journal's Sahar Chmais

"The Cook's Nook has been addressing the crucial topics of food access and equity since it was founded in 2017 by Joi Chevalier.

After five years, the company has entered a new phase, as Chevalier moved from CEO to president June 20 and welcomed Amy Bell as chief executive.

Bell was previously senior principal of the strategic investment arm of Austin-based Whole Foods Market Inc.

Prior to Whole Foods, Bell led the social finance business at JPMorgan Chase in New York and managed $100 million in service of low-income and underrepresented populations. Additionally, Bell had leadership positions at EcoEnterprises Fund and Tideline, early-stage businesses in impact investing.

Bell had previously been an adviser to The Cook's Nook. She and Chevalier partnered to profitably scale the company by building on its Mosaic Meals, which are fully cooked and delivered meals with affordable pricing and convenience. This portion of the business began as a way to provide healthier and high-quality options for people lacking access to nutritious food or seeking to change their diets to manage disease."
