No Time To Garden?
Or it is not on your list of interests...
That may not be you, if you are subscribed to this list... but it might describe your child, or someone who lives on your block.
If they are "Generation Y" (Born: 1977-1994) they may have little time or interest in gardening.
At least, that is what they think. Just like many of the Boomer generation felt we had little time for computers, or exercise, or any of a number of things that we later discovered were something we needed to make time for.
People often care about the value of their home and potential selling price; they also care more about the health benefits of homegrown, chemical free foods; and not last on the list is the connection with nature for themselves and their children.
Time in the garden answers all that and more. The question is really how can we relay the experience and skill set for helping people find the right level of garden effort for them. To answer those cares and needs, without complicating their learning curve with our own wish to see a beautiful garden.
