An update from Heather Fulk: Freely receive, freely give, Worthy, and Germany
Freely receive, freely give
I want... giving to be as effortless as breathing, even when we do not have much to give.

Recently my friend Amanda wrote a great blog post titled "what I want for my children" that has been stirring in my heart.  Visit her at  I have also been doing a Bible study recently by Beth Moore called James: Mercy Triumphs.   Admittedly, I was terrified of doing this study because God has revealed His amazing grace to me in so many ways this past year that picking up and studying a book that seems so "law driven" was not something to jump for joy about!  But I am so thankful that Father God knows exactly what I need and when I need it.

Though there have been a few challenging days of study, for the most part I am being challenged to know how to love people just like Jesus did.  I can honestly say I am hungry to love people (even the most unlovable) with freedom through the Spirit.  I was particularly struck by James 3:17-18 in my reading recently.  It describes wisdom from heaven in terminology such as "pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, impartial and sincere."  Wow!  What beautiful words.  I don't think I can put into better words the way I want to be treated by my family in Christ when I need wisdom, so how much more so do I long to treat even the most unlovable with the same attributes.  Realizing that I can't do that on my own, I have to constantly be sitting at the feet of Jesus, asking Him to fill me with those attributes and so much more of Himself.  It is in that place of letting go and letting Jesus into my heart that I find freedom to receive and give wisdom, love, and understanding from the Father.

Naturally, that comes first from me spending time with God, allowing Him to speak those things to me.  Psalm 62 (My soul finds rest in God alone) and Psalm 23 have been instrumental in reminding me exactly where I belong with God.  I belong in His arms, being led by gentle waters, lacking nothing, letting Him restore my soul.  He provides safety and security.  He is my strong tower.  He is my fortress.  He sets a table before me in the presence of my enemy.  Because of Him goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.  My cup overflows!  When I let my heart and mind live in and dwell on those promises, finding "wisdom that comes from heaven" and loving even the hardest of hearts becomes an expression of the rest  and security I find myself in constantly.  Be encouraged today to let Father God minister His rest and mercy to you and then pour out what is already overflowing in you, child of God.

As promised, I am going to share a complete original song with you!  This is pretty exciting for me.  :)  I am not going to be sharing this with the public because at this point the recording is just a rough version of me and a piano.  I also plan on recording and selling all my original work at some point in the near future, which is why this is just a preview of the song.  You can listen here for the next few weeks and then I will take it down until it is available for purchase.
Plans are coming together beautifully for Germany!  My good friend and mentor, Kathy Witte, will be travelling with me on this trip, which I am beyond excited about!  We will be leaving May 25 to visit Holland, Belinda's home base and then leaving from there to travel to Herrnhut, Germany for a week of ministery at a YWAM School of Worship ( with Belinda.  We will be spending our week of ministry talking about Songwriting and Creativity.  I still need to raise $1700 for this trip.  Please pray about how God might be leading you to give.  Please also pray for complete provision.  I am excited to see how God is going to provide for and move in this week!
