After 20 years and 165 house concerts, we're moving on...

Happy New Year- it’s been a while!
After 20 years on University Drive, Nancy and I are ready to move on.  It’s been a great run here with lots of rich experiences for the whole family.  We hosted over 160 house concerts featuring a range of artists, including members of the Rock & Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame. We also got to know lots of people from across the St. Louis area and beyond.  We’re grateful to be part of a broader community of like-minded music fans.  We even attended a wedding of two people who met here. But now we’re ready for a new chapter in our lives…
With both boys off to college, a 4-bedroom house in the Clayton school district no longer fits our needs.  In the coming months (approximately spring of this year) we will move to a smaller house in Olivette and put our current house in Clayton up for sale.
Before we go down the standard path of paying for a range of cosmetic upgrades and enlist the services of a realtor, we thought we should put out feelers to see if we might find someone who would want to buy the place “as-is”, saving both parties the cost of upgrades and realtor fees.
The house has served us well over the last 20 years. It was the subject of this feature article in the Post-Dispatch in 2010.
It might be a long shot, but it could be nice if one of our friends might want to buy the place. If the right buyer was so inclined, they could even carry on the tradition of hosting house concerts sometime in the future.
To get an idea of what houses sell for in this neighborhood, you can enter our address (8141 University Drive, Clayton, MO 63105) on various real estate sites.  Prices in our neighborhood range from multi-million dollar new homes to tear-downs.  Our house is somewhere in between these extremes.  We would be interested in hearing from anyone who might have serious interest.
That’s what’s new with us; we hope everyone is doing OK and staying safe.  There’s a chance we could host smaller-scale house concerts at our new place if/when conditions would allow, but for now, our email list/website will go dormant.
Thanks for all your kindness and support.  It was a genuine pleasure sharing all of this with you.  We look forward to catching up with everybody on the backside of these crazy times.
