This is always a sad time of the year for people living in Belgium as we remember the victims of the Brussels bombings in 2016. Many lost their lives and many others are living with their horrific injuries.
Please share a thought or a prayer for them today...
The latest episode of my podcast Leading People has just gone live. In this episode, I chat with leading author and consultant, Craig Weber, about his books Conversational Capacity and Influence in Action.
For regular readers of this post, you might recall that I've mentioned Craig's work in the past.
Without Conversational Capacity, individuals and teams can find themselves surrounded by lots of 'elephants in the room' with no way of effectively dealing with them. Either these 'elephants' get ignored or they eventually lead to conflicts. Craig has developed an effective and pragmatic way of dealing with these situations that many leading organisations have embraced.
During our own conversation, we talk about sweet spots, cognitive cartography, dojos and much more...
Craig has even had success in getting Republicans and Democrats in the US Congress to sit together and talk more constructively about their differences.
Any man who can do this is surely worth listening to!

May your conversations go beyond your cognitive cartography this week...
I once had a conversation with a dolphin
We just clicked...
A kid was sitting with the maid and had the following conversation:
Maid: You must leave this house.
Maid: There are ghosts here.
*Later that day the kid was sitting with his dad*
Kid: Dad, the maid told me we should leave this house because there are ghosts in it.
Dad: Pack your bags!
Kid: Dad, do you really believe in ghosts?
Dad: WE DON'T HAVE A MAID!!!
Struck up a conversation with a spider today at home while dusting.
Nice guy. He's a web designer
My partner screamed, "you haven't listened to a single word I've said, have you?!"
What a weird way to start a conversation...
