For the latest episode of my Leading People podcast, I sat down with Dr Ina Weinbauer-Heidel to find out what makes training really work

We explore her 12 Levers of Training Effectiveness under three key themes.

Ever wonder why some trainings make a real difference and others appear to be a complete waste of time?

It's not what you think!

In our conversation, we begin to unpack the answer to this question and Ina provides some fantastic insights and tips for trainees, trainers, learning & development professionals and managers/supervisors in organisations.

I've been putting some of her tools into practice in recent months and I already notice the difference.

So, mosey on over to the podcast channel to learn more...

Two guys who just met at a training class are driving through the city looking for a place to have lunch.
The guy driving is running every red light. The other guy is starting to freak out and says, "Dude?! What the hell are you doing going through those red lights?!" The guy driving says, "It's okay, my brother in law does it all the time." The passenger says, "Well it's not okay with me, let me out up here!" They drive a little further up the road and the driver stops at a green light. The passenger says, "Why are you stopped? The light is green." The driver says, "My brother in law might be coming through."

You don't need any training to be a garbage collector
You just pick it up as you go along

I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It’s not.
Mine had me trained in two days.
