Dear fellow Gonzaga Moms,

We are, once again, literally basking in the afterglow of a wonderful and unforgettable GMC event! Sunday’s Mother Son Celebration was fabulous:  the beautiful Mass and music, delicious food, inspiring speakers, and time spent with our sons and with many Gonzaga friends was truly a treat!  Thank you to Chairs Gwen Caudle, Lynn Cruser, Denise Jackson, Mary Penny and their committee of fabulous volunteers. The weather presented them with many challenges but that didn’t deter them from giving us a beautiful day full of wonderful memories.

Please don’t miss our meeting this Wednesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. which will feature our Headmaster, Mr. Tom Every as our speaker.  Father Planning will also give us an update on all that’s happening on Eye Street.

Thanks to everyone who sent in diapers for our record-breaking 4th Annual Men for Others Diaper Drive and who donated food for the Father McKenna Center fundraiser.  A special thank you to Sheila Novak and Karen Weintraub for providing refreshments at the Sophomore Night.  We also thank Liz Biskaduros and Jeannie Newcomer for hosting a reception for the boys upon their return from the Kairos retreat.

Please join us on Wednesday at our GMC meeting. Our awesome Hospitality Chairs Kristin Cunningham, Beata Gierldski and Amy Ramirez have some delicious refreshments prepared for us.
See you on Wednesday.

DC Diaper Bank Volunteer Opportunity

Thank you to everyone who donated diapers, money and other baby items to the annual Men for Others Diaper Drive. We were able to deliver 12,865 diapers to their warehouse in Silver Spring, MD. They say Gonzaga's drive is one of their biggest drives all year!  They were so grateful. You can learn more about the DC Diaper Bank at
As a companion event to the Annual Men for Others Diaper Drive, there will be an opportunity for mothers and sons to volunteer together at the DC Diaper Bank on Sunday, March 15th. Please join us for an opportunity to get to know the Bank better and gain a deeper insight into its work.

Senior Information

Senior Meeting Night
There will be a Senior Parents Meeting on Thursday, March 12th at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. The purpose of this evening is to address the transitional issues that will arise over the next several months as your son prepares to depart for college. This meeting is especially helpful for parents who are going through this process for the first time (of course, all parents are welcome). The evening is designed to help foster the process of separation and letting go. Hopefully it will also help reduce anxiety and increase communication between you and your son.
Graduation Tuxedos
Mr. McIntyre has met with a representative from Men's Warehouse regarding graduation tuxedos.  Men's Warehouse will be on campus April 28th, 29th & 30th, during all three lunch periods, to measure the seniors for their graduation tuxes.

The graduates will need to provide two items: black shoes and black socks for the Graduation photo on Friday, May 29th, and to be worn at graduation.

Class of 2015 T-Shirts

The Class of 2015 shirts are ready to be ordered online beginning March 2nd-March 16th. Thanks to the talented Matt Green the shirts are feature the iconic Gonzaga Bell Tower with #11  in the front of the tower as well as the clock face. The number eleven represents the year the boys started their journey at Gonzaga and also honors the beloved Dominik Pettey who also wore #11. The back of the shirt features the names of all the seniors. The side sleeve has AMDG as well as Dom's initials DLP. There are three choices of shirts: long sleeved dry fit, long sleeved cotton- both purple. There is also a short sleeve white cotton T shirt. The proceeds of the shirt sales will go towards the class gift to the school.

Ordering instructions: Go to Click on the My Team logo below. Our access code is smith5VJ

We are hoping to get the shirts ordered by March 16th so that the boys will have upon their return from spring break. Any questions email either Amy May at or Mary Daly at
