Dr. Relocation's September Real Estate News

(Please See Our Rental Listings Below)

For most people owning a home is clearly a better option than renting. So why are you still renting? There are many factors keeping potential Buyers “on the fence” and out of the market. But, whatever your reasons for waiting to buy may have been, remember that conditions are changing daily. Seeking free consultation from your personal Real Estate Experts at Doctor Relocation is the first step in determining what options are available.
Here are two simple reasons why now is the right time for you to begin your transition into home ownership today:

For those who are unsure about whether ownership is more affordable than renting consider this cost comparison scenario from the National Association of Realtors: “Over a 7-year period, a renter starts out paying $800 per month with annual increases of 5 percent, while the homeowner purchases a home for $110,000 and pays a monthly mortgage of $1,000. After six years, the homeowner’s payment is lower than the renter’s monthly payment. With the tax savings of home-ownership, the Homeowner’s payment is less than the rental payment after three years.”

Interest rates have been hovering at historic lows, which make current market conditions favorable to buyers but an era of rising rates is sure to follow as the economy improves. According to Kiplinger’s business forecasters, “Mortgage rates—even initial rates on adjustable-rate loans—will grind higher in 2014, says McBride. Kiplinger’s expects the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, recently just over 4.4%, to rise to 5% or 5.5% by year-end. That won’t halt the real estate recovery. A one percentage point rise from current rates means an extra $61 in monthly payments on a $100,000, 30-year loan. Still, consider locking in your rate once you have set your closing date. For credit cards and home-equity loans, 2014 could be the last hurrah for low rates, says McBride.”

Get off of the fence and pre-qualified to buy. Contact Doctor Relocation for a free consultation today. At today's interests rates buyers will pay on average $5 per month on each $1000 borrowed (for principal and interest payments). This means that your payment could be even lower than that mentioned in the cost comparison above.
