Have you ever thought about what your life would be like if you lived in a rural community, miles away from medical help?
In December, while all of our health promoters were in one central location for training, we were able to interview quite a few of them about their lives and what it looks like to serve in their communities. They all have a dream of seeing more people like you visit them and work alongside them. But, they also have other dreams. Dreams of a healthier community through clean drinking water and the self confidence to make an impact.
Ada Luz Romero is one of our health promoters and a new mother. Some days she walks almost four hours a day visiting patients. Despite the long, hard hours and having a little baby to take with her, she is very excited about the work she is doing with AMOS and for her community.
