Events in local sustainability this May
Farm days

It's definitely feeling like spring now, so there is plenty to do.

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

We will continue planting things in the polytunnel, and have already started weeding.  We are going to sort out our water supply this month so can get planting in the outside raised beds.  We have done our spring inspection of the bees and will continue to monitor their progress.  And we are noticing that the grass is growing, so it's time to start sharpening our scythes.

The site is large and it is easy to socially distance.  Email us if you'd like to come along.

Railway Orchard
We will meet on
Saturday 7 May at 11am.

The trees will be in blossom!  But there are still plenty of brambles popping up everywhere, so bring secateurs or loppers.

The apple trees are starting to blossom - looks like another good year!
Bring your broken items and see if our volunteers can fix them, and save them from landfill.  This month the Repair Cafe is on Saturday 28th May 10am – 12pm at Shire Hall Museum, High West St, Dorchester.
