Tree planting
Sunday 5th December
Meet at the community farm gate at 2pm and we will walk down to the planting site (on the way to Maiden Castle Rd, by a big field)
Bring a spade and clothes/shoes you don’t mind getting muddy!
TTD has planted trees every year for the last ten years, and this year we are planting 400 trees, donated by TCV, to coincide with National Tree Week. We will be supplementing the hedges planted last year. Hedges are crucial havens for wildlife, reservoirs of biodiversity, store carbon, suck nutrients and pollutants out of water, prevent soil erosion, to mention only some of their magic.

Farm days
We are working on our winter tasks
We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm
and also on
Wednesday mornings at 10.30
We will be making compost, turning it and layering it with a variety of materials, identifying areas which we will leave as habitats, clearing and putting wood chip on paths between raised beds, constructing a fence to protect our vegetables from rabbits, making planters for insect friendly flowers.
The site is large and it is easy to socially distance. Email us if you'd like to come along.
