At the farm

Sunday 10th

Sunday 17th

We will finish off scything the orchard (nearly done!) and making compost, as well as moving compost from the orchard to the polytunnel.  We still haven't done the rainwater harvesting system for the polytunnel, so if you are good at that sort of thing, why not come and join us!  And there's more to be done at the forest garden.
Something for everyone!
All welcome!

presents a talk on
12 November 2019 at 7pm at the Dorford Centre
A Vision for Dorchester 2050
Can you foresee the future?  What would your ideal town look like? What novel designs and workings could it include ? Can we learn from others?
Dr. Tim Dixon, Professor of Sustainable Futures in the Built Environment at University of Reading will give a talk on his research on the development of a smart and sustainable Reading and its vision for 2050.
We need to plant 1.5 billion trees in the UK to help tackle climate change, and TTD wants to be part of this!
National Tree Week at the end of November starts off the tree planting season, and we will be joining in.  We will be receiving 200 trees in January, 420 trees in March, and we have applied for a grant to buy another 300.  So we plan to have a Big Tree Planting Event sometime in January!  Meanwhile, check out the Woodland Trust website:
Dorchester Repair Cafe is up and running!
After a successful first session, the Repair Cafe is back on Sunday 24 November, 10-12, at Sunninghill Community Centre, Culliford Rd North, DT1 1EB, and the last Sunday of the month thereafter.

If you have anything which needs mending, bring it along and see if it can be fixed!  Or just come along and see what's going on, enjoy some refreshments. And if you'd like to help out, get in touch on repaircafedorchester
