Events in local sustainability this April
Farm days

We are getting on with our spring tasks now the weather's a bit nicer.

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

We will continue planting things in the polytunnel, as the days get longer, and will soon start weeding.  We are weeding our raised beds in preparation for planting and are hoping to sort out our water supply.

When it's really chilly, there's nothing nicer than cuddling a warm hen!
Railway Orchard
We will meet on
Saturday 2nd April at 11am.

There might be some apple blossom to admire!  But there are still plenty of brambles so bring secateurs or loppers.
Over 200 trees were planted in March, on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.

Earth Day
is celebrating the environment and looking at what we can do to help.  The event will be held on Saturday, April 23 from noon-4pm at the Great Field, Poundbury
Many local groups are doing a lot to combat climate change, increase biodiversity and help the environment. Earth Day is a way to celebrate those who are making a difference.  Come and learn what they are doing and join their causes!

The Repair Cafe is taking part in Earth Day, on Saturday 23 April, from noon to 4pm on the Great Field in Poundbury
Bring your broken things, and volunteer repairers will do their best to fix them!
