Events in local sustainability this January
Wassailing
at the Railway Orchard
on
Saturday 15th January at 12 noon.
Come and sing to our apple trees to ensure productivity and drive away evil spirits!
It always works!
Bring some apple juice or cider to toast the trees, and something to make a loud noise with.
The Railway Orchard is approached from opposite the Baker's Arms, at the end of Monmouth Rd.
All welcome, the more noise the better!

Farm days

We are still working on our winter tasks

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

We have almost finished making compost, but there is still some to do. We will be pruning our apple trees, planting out insect friendly flowers, clearing the paths around the raised beds and putting wood chip down, and building a rabbit proof fence around them.  We will be starting to think about planting vegetables in the polytunnel - the days are already drawing out!

The site is large and it is easy to socially distance.  Email us if you'd like to come along.
