Vendor Newsletter for January 7, 2017
View this email in your browser
Dear Vendors,

Please read the information in the newsletter about the construction on Traders Alley. It should take no more than 4 weeks to complete, and customers will still be able to navigate through the Market on the sidewalk to the east by Mitchell's. No work will be done on Saturdays. Any vendors with questions or concerns should contact Jim.

We weren't able to present the Curbie Award for 2016 last week because the winning vendor was absent, so we will present it this week (hopefully).

See you on Saturday!

First Market Day of 2017

There's no better way to get a jump start on achieving your New Year's resolutions than by visiting the Market this Saturday! You can eat healthier by shopping with one of our amazing produce vendors. You can get exercise by walking the entire length of our ever-growing Market and taking a look at everything our vendors have to offer. And above all else, you can have fun by visiting with your friends and neighbors at one of the coolest places to hang out on a Saturday morning. Planning to "attend the Market every Saturday" might be one resolution that you'll actually want to keep!

Mind the Construction...
As part of the Downtown Area's continuing renewal, restoration, and growth, Market customers and vendors will need to be patient for the next four weeks or so as the City of Lakeland’s Public Works Department installs a storm drain in Traders Alley. This work will close North Kentucky Avenue at Traders Alley as well as parts of Trader’s Alley. Work will begin Monday, January 9 and is expected to take under 4 weeks to complete. No work will be done on Saturdays, and customers will still be able to navigate through the Market using the sidewalk on the east side of Kentucky Avenue. None of the Market parking areas will be affected.  You can learn more about the work here.
