Faith at Home
The theme for April has been Becoming, this week we focus on who we are, how we got here, and where we are going. Here are a few ways to activity explore and live into our spiritual theme at home as a family!

*Family Movie Night – Meet The Robinsons (G)
Snuggle up as a family and watch as a young boy names Lewis spends a day in the future with a friends eccentric family and uncover an amazing secret about his own becoming at the same time.
*Family Activity – Become a Family of Ritual
Rituals don't have to be specifically religious or spiritual in nature. As a family make a list of things you enjoy doing together, then pick your favorite and set a specific day or time to do that. Maybe is a big family breakfast every Saturday morning or a big family dinner 2 Sundays a month, maybe it's Friday night board games or a monthly hike, whatever it is, use it to help set the culture of your family.
*Family Bedtime (or Anytime) Stories
Click on any book in the FPC Anti-Racist, Diversity, and Inclusivity Virtual Library to be taken to a read aloud video. Slide 4 contains books that relate to this months theme of BECOMING.
*Family Conversation Starters
Are you happy with who you have become? What do you need to be happier with yourself? Who do you want to be 5 years from now?
*UU Parenting -
As parents we want to help our children become the best version of themselves. Often that includes have skills like independence and a senses of responsibility. One of the best ways to help foster theses skills is with chores, but it can also be tricky to figure out what the appropriate chores are. Check out this article ofage appropriate chores for toddlers - high schoolersfor some help tips and suggestions.
*Chalice Lighting

Spiritual practice is just as important for children and youth as it is for adults!! Lighting a chalice at home is a wonderful way to live into our faith and help your children feel grounded in spiritual practice. This week try lighting a family chalice at dinner or bedtime, or whatever time makes sense for your family.
