Beer Week in the East Bay, Spats, quinoa and kale patties ...
February 5, 2015
Noshers: We all know there's a beer renaissance going on in the Bay Area, and the East Bay in particular, with breweries and tasting rooms opening seemingly every few months. But it's only when Nosh editor Kate Williams sat down to parse the humongous SF Beer Week program to suggest a crop of local events for you to attend that the reality of our passion for the amber nectar really hit home. This week we also bring news of a Berkeley institution that is being reborn, and a Yummy Supper recipe that promises to be nothing but good for you.
SF Beer Week is back, Feb. 6-15, and the choice of events is mind-boggling, from Valentines' dinners, tastings and flights, to beer-flavored ice cream.
“We’re going to bring back the Fog Cutter,” said co-owner Nathan George, of one iconic Spats drink. “It will feel like Spats, but Spats in the 21st century.”.
