your monthly update

Has spring finally come to my dreary little corner of Ohio? Let's hope the snow is behind us for good! This past weekend I went to A Knitter's Fantasy in Youngstown, OH for the fourth year. We had a great turnout and I had a lot of fun with Ana (Wren & Rita). My inventory is so low now, it's going to be a very busy couple of weeks. Dyeing! Drumcarding! Spinning! Washing, sorting, picking! And somewhere in there I may be having my wisdom teeth pulled. Great timing, teeth!

Upcoming Events:
  • Monthly Spinning Group -- starting April 10
Second Wednesday of the month from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, community room 2
Davis YMCA @ 45 Mcclurg Rd, Boardman, OH 44512
  • Etsy shop update next week
  • Great Lakes Fiber Show @ Wayne County Fairgrounds, May 25-26
  • Woolfest @ Lake Metroparks Farmpark, June 22-23
Our booth at the Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet Festival. March 15-17, 2013.
This month I was spinning -- and not just my usual 2-ply yarns. I got out the curly locks and art yarn books, trying to accomplish something a little different. I would say it was a valiant effort, but I didn't create anything too spectacular. So, I signed up for a class at Maryland Sheep & Wool to learn about corespinning. Hopefully I will get inspired, come home, and go to town on my stash! Stay tuned.
